Both of these tests are available through your physician or at most walk-in clinics. Our Doctor can fax a request for these tests when necessary. Note: We actually need to see the results of the test, rather than an interpretation. Please send by email or fax.
This is an electrical scan of your heart. Even healthy people, who have generally strong hearts, can have certain pre-existing heart conditions that are contraindicated with ibogaine. It is important to remove any metal objects that you are wearing, not to take any stimulants (including coffee) during the day before your test, and not to be in withdrawals.
2) Complete blood work with liver panel and electrolyte count
CYP2D6 Metabolism Genotyping
CYP2D6 is the liver enzyme that metabolizes ibogaine into nor-ibogaine. Genetic tests are available to identify how efficient this enzyme is, and can give some insight into the treatment process. While it is helpful, it is not required, and most ibogaine treatments proceed without this information.
